WHAT IS A FEEDING CONSULTATION?

As many as 90% of children with Autism struggle with feeding issues and eating problems.  These issues can significantly affect growth, good eating habits, and the ability of a child to thrive physically and emotionally.  

Feeding therapy has been proven to:

• Improve self-feeding abilities.
• Increase rates of trying and eating new foods.
• Help children to sit appropriately for a meal.
• Increase the amount of food consumed.
• Decrease tantrums and negative behaviors related to eating and mealtimes.

Coastal Behaviour Consulting's Option 1 Feeding Package:

• During the course of 10 weeks your child will be introduced to a minimum of 25 foods. 
• An individualised behaviour support plan, visual supports and video modelling resources will be provided to the parents/caregivers support within the home.
• 10 x 45 minute sessions with a Behaviour Analyst.
• Three in home observations.
• Unlimited phone call and email support.

Coastal Behaviour Consulting's Option 2 Feeding Package:

• During the course of 10 weeks your child will be introduced to a minimum of 50 foods. 
• An individualised behaviour support plan, visual supports and video modelling resources will be provided to the parents/caregivers support within the home.
• 20 x 45 minute sessions with a Behaviour Analyst.
• Three in home observations.
• Unlimited phone call and email support.
